As the best Natural IVF Center, New Hope Fertility Center provides more holistic options for fertility treatment.
Natural IVF is a protocol of treatment that does not use fertility medication to stimulate your body to produce additional eggs. Instead, Natural IVF tracks your cycle in order to harvest the egg your body produces naturally. This more natural approach to IVF eliminates the side effects traditionally experienced with fertility medications. Natural IVF may take place over two of your monthly cycles.
Cycle One – During your first cycle, you are closely monitored through blood work and ultrasound. This monitoring allows us to track how your cycle is progressing. Once the egg that you produce naturally has reached the desired level of maturity, it is harvested during an outpatient surgical retrieval procedure. The harvested egg is then fertilized in our lab with either your partner’s or donor sperm. The resulting embryo is monitored closely and then either transferred into your uterus or frozen via vitrification. Vitrification is a way of flash freezing the embryo so that it is not damaged by ice crystals forming between cells. The embryo is then stored until it is ready to be implanted.
Cycle Two – If necessary, you will again be closely monitored during your cycle with blood work and ultrasound. When your body has reached the point in your cycle when your uterus is prepared for the embryo to implant, the embryo from your first cycle is thawed and placed directly in your uterus.
Natural IVF is a great choice for women who want to avoid the use of fertility medication or who are not likely to respond to fertility medication.
