Differences among Different IVF Protocols for Controlled Ovary Hyperstimulation

Egg-Freezing-NHFC-1-blog

The conventional IVF protocol for controlled ovary hyperstimulation (COH), starts from daily injection of Lupron to down regulate the pituitary function, followed by daily injection of multiple medications.

Most of the IVF centers are using GnRH analog flare protocol for poor responder to achieve better outcomes than down-regulation protocol. However, this protocol still needs daily injection of one or multiple medications. The cost is still high.

The minimal stimulation protocols used in our center includes Mini-IVFTM protocol and natural protocol. Our typical Mini-IVFTM protocol starts from daily oral medication(s), followed by 3 injections only for 1 cycle. The cost will be much lower. In natural protocol, no medication is required. Additionally, this protocol produces the highest quality eggs.
