The Top 10 Things You Didn't Know About Freezing Your Eggs

Posted by NHFC

Egg freezing provides a way for women to preserve their fertility until they are ready to start a family.  Although it is increasing in popularity, many women have questions about the process to freeze and store eggs.  Once a woman fully understands how fertility preservation works, she is better equipped to know if fertility preservation is the right choice.

Frozen Embryo Transfers | IVF Success Stories

Posted by NHFC

At New Hope Fertility Center, our success rates with frozen embryo transfers are high compared with competing centers thanks to our individualized frozen embryo transfer protocols and the use of vitrification for freezing embryos -- which yields a 98% survival rate, compared to a 60% embryo survival rate under traditional freezing methods.

We are happy to announce 3 recent IVF success stories that all involved women conceiving after frozen embryo transfers.  Ms. 31 arrived at our doors struggling with a history of primary infertility, and while she unfortunately did not get pregnant after her first transfer, she recently announced she returned a positive pregnancy test following her Ultra Mini-IVF™ treatment (no injections) and frozen embryo transfer.

Ms. 32, who was dealing with issues trying to have her second child (secondary infertility), also had an unsuccessful first try with a fresh embryo transfer created from a Mini-IVF™ cycle.  After waiting one month, however, our fertility doctors transferred 2 frozen embryos into Ms. 32 and she got pregnant...with triplets!

Our final IVF success story for today comes from Ms. 28.  Suffering from primary infertility, she elected our Mini-IVF™ treatment and after her frozen embryo transfer, she got pregnant.

Once again, congratulations to these 3 women, who all got pregnant through minimal stimulation IVF and frozen embryo transfers.  Your persistence is a great example for women who are dreaming to build their family just like you!

Giuliana & Bill | Having a Baby After Cancer

Posted by NHFC

Great news from the Rancics -- who publicly shared their journey with issues getting pregnant and subsequent discovery that Giuliana had breast cancer -- they're HAVING A BABY!

The couple announced earlier this week that they decided to freeze Giuliana's embryos before starting her cancer treatment, which then allowed them to seek a gestational carrier to help carry their genetic child. The decision to go with surrogacy to have their child came from the understanding that post-cancer treatment, if Mrs. Rancic was to carry a child, she would run the risk of increased cancer growth due to the increase of hormones during pregnancy.

The Rancics' quick thinking when it came to freezing Giuliana's embryos pre-cancer treatment and following up with a gestational carrier is great example for those women and couples experiencing similar issues with fertility, cancer, and trying to figure out the best way to build a family while keeping everyone safe and healthy.

For more information on New Hope Fertility Center's gestational carrier program, which recently assisted Alexis Stewart in having her second child via a surrogate, please visit us online.

And once again, congrats to Giuliana and Bill!

End of January IVF Success Stories

Posted by NHFC

1) 39 y/o came to New Hope trying for her first baby.  She conceived from Mini-IVF™ and a fresh embryo transfer.  She was also able to bank a few more of the eggs retrieved during her cycle that reached the blastocyst stage, making her a viable candidate for a 2nd or 3rd child later on. Congratulations!

2) 41 y/o arrived at New Hope with premature ovarian failure and a very high FSH. After attempting to get pregnant using our holistic IVF approaches, she decided to move on to our Donor IVF Program, which only took a few weeks from the time of transfer until she found out she was pregnant. Congrats!

It should be noted that at NHFC, we do not discrimnate based on age or FSH level, and will try to get our patients pregnant using their own eggs with our unique and customized IVF protocols before moving patients to the donor program.  Our Donor Frozen Oocyte bank (the only one of its kind in the US), also decreases recipients' wait time since our eggs are frozen and ready to fertilize on-site.  Many other places require the patient time her cycle with the donor she chooses, but this wait time is non-existent with our Donor Frozen Oocyte Bank.

3) 48 y/o came to New Hope with a history of secondary infertility.  She recently came back with a positive pregnancy test after a donor frozen embryo transfer.  Congrats!

4) 33 y/o came back to New Hope for her 2nd child.  After another Mini-IVF™ cycle and a fresh embryo transfer, she got pregnant again.  Congratulations!

5) 30 y/o arrived at New Hope with a history of primary infertility.  She completed Natural Cycle IVF along with Ultra Mini-IVF™ (no injections) and had a frozen embryo transfer.  She recently produced a positive pregnancy test.  Congrats!

6) 37 y/o came to New Hope with a history of primary infertility.  After unsuccessful tries at timed intercourse, she moved to our Natural Cycle IVF protocol.  She conceived after her fresh embryo transfer.  Congratulations!

7) 40 y/o arrived at New Hope with a history of secondary infertility.  After completing an IUI cycle she got pregnant.  Congrats!

8) 33 y/o came to New Hope with a history of secondary infertility.  She conceived through timed intercourse.  Congrats!
